Quote from Current Recipient

"The financial burden associated with college is symbolically the shackle that prevents many students from pursuing higher education. Coming from a financially crippled household, I too would have fallen victim to this endless cycle of disenfranchisement.  However, as a grateful recipient of this scholarship given by the Mu Kappa Omega chapter of the great Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, I can truly smile today.  It is pleasing to know that there is an organization willing to invest in my education.  Collegiate education is indeed what will empower me to soar like an eagle, free to roam and discover limitless scopes as I pursue my goals: in fact, I have a tunnel vision focused on one prime goal; to use education as a gateway to a pharmaceutical career--a career that will enable me to be a change-agent as I impact people's lives and health.  Ultimately, I am fueled by optimism, driven by passion, and steered by conviction!  Thank you very much."

Oluwafemi (Femi) Adunbarin
